Roxy, a friendly dog, has been named Pet of the Week and is currently available for adoption. Animal shelter officials are encouraging interested families to consider giving her a forever home.
Roxy, a friendly dog described as energetic and affectionate, is now available for adoption through the local animal shelter, officials announced today. This marks her selection as Pet of the Week, aiming to attract potential adopters and find her a permanent home. The shelter emphasizes her suitability for families seeking a loving pet.
The animal shelter, located in the city, confirmed that Roxy is a mixed-breed dog, approximately two years old, weighing around 40 pounds. She was brought to the shelter after being rescued from an unsafe environment and has since been vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped. Shelter staff describe her as friendly, playful, and good with children and other animals.
According to shelter spokesperson Jane Doe, ‘Roxy is a wonderful companion who loves to play fetch and cuddle. She’s ready to join a loving family.’ Interested adopters are encouraged to visit the shelter to meet her or contact them for more information. The shelter is actively promoting her adoption as part of its Pet of the Week program, which highlights animals in need of homes.
Why Roxy’s Adoption Matters for Local Animal Welfare
Roxy’s availability for adoption underscores the ongoing efforts of local shelters to find homes for animals in need.
